Freewebs is a site creation service that lets users make fully functioning sites complete with blogs, forums and chat rooms.
Users start by choosing from over 300 templates and then can go on to add image, photo albums, videos and profiles, all editable with their WYSIWYG page editor.
Freewebs also integrates ratings, comments, widgets, maps, games and an RSS reader.
You can't say that Freewebs skimps on providing site necessities, since they top everything off with a slick Site Manager dashboard.
The Site Manager makes it easy for people to quickly update a page or add a new one.
They have partnered with online photo editor Picnik so users can edit their pictures straight from the site.
Other partners include YouTube, Photobucket, RockYou and MiniClip. Also, if users are interested in ecommerce, Freewebs helps them integrate online payment tools like PayPal into their site.
The company was started by three brothers, $2000 and a single server.
They now claim to have over 17 million websites created using their tools.

I recommend you to try www.webnode.com. It is also free, but webnode is feature-wise better than FreeWebs. As Freewebs is mainly for sipmle websites, you can create professional looking pages with articles, polls, forums products, dynamic list etc. with webnode.
